Healing is an ability, mundane or supernatural, that enables a person to restore health to a person who is physically ill or injured. Doctors of various studies have the mundane ability of healing skills. In the Bible, Jesus ministered healing miracles to those who have put their faith in Him, and even told His followers that in His name they could perform healing miracles as well, as long as they have faith. This was shown with Peter the apostle being able to heal people with just his shadow passing over them, and Paul the apostle touching aprons and handkerchiefs that ministered healing.

In the Left Behind series, various types of healing miracles have occurred, such as an angel touching Rayford Steele, healing him of partial deafness due to his not protecting his ears when firing a weapon. Healing miracles also occurred when the "sign of the Son of Man" appeared in the sky prior to Jesus' Second Coming. In turn, Nicolae Carpathia's wonder-workers were also shown to be capable of performing healing miracles, and even resurrections.

Supernatural healing happens near-instantaneously and without pain or metabolic effects; for example, Lionel Washington's severed arm and hand reappear in an instant, to the point where he only notices by looking at the restored arm a few seconds later.
